Well kiddies, it's an exciting day today because I'm creating a new category on vicdorfman.com – Online Income.

A gaggle of people have been asking me about HOW to make money online.

Well, I'm honestly FAR from an expert in this stuff but I've been slaving away at it for a few months now and I think I'm getting the hang of it.

I feel that a lot of people could benefit from my mistake-fraught journey online and save a buttload of time and frustration.
 

 
I'm still working 2 jobs that really bore me to tears because my monthly online income hasn't gotten to a comfortable level YET. If you're in sort of the same boat and these online income posts wind up helping you, that will warm my cockles.

Also, I realize that not everyone hates their 9 to 5 job and not everyone wants to make an online income.
 

But for those who do, here's probably the first thing you're gonna ask:

What's the fastest, easiest way to make money online?

 
I see this question come up every few days on the Warrior Forum from a newbie and it's the first question I asked too.

(By the way, the Warrior Forum is the biggest, friendliest, most information packed forum on Internet Marketing)

Only let's add “sustainable” to the list of adjectives above because ideally, we'd like to make some sort of steady income online, rather than a few quick bucks, which you could just do on Fiverr if you really needed to.

The answer that most people give to this question is: Affiliate Marketing.
 

 
Let's say you wrote an ebook on how to train dogs. This is a classic example.

Then you told people that if they go out and promote YOUR book and then you make sales from customers THEY attracted, you'll pay them 50% of the sales price.

That's called a commission.

You, personally, didn't do any work and because your product is a instant digital download, it costs you nothing to deliver.

Basically, someone just helped you earn money and earned themselves some too…excellent!!
 

So say the dog training book costs $50.

That means every sale you drive brings you $25.

If you could sell just 1 book a day, you'd be making ($25 x 30 = $750) a month… That's nothing to sneeze at!

If you sold 10 books a day, you'd be making $7500/month, which is $90,000 a year…WHOA!

That's more than most Americans make working 60 hour weeks at their 9 to 5 jobs.

 
And even after the IRS does you thoroughly up the butt, you'd still be walking away with a comfortable yearly salary.
 

 
And guess what the internet is full of? Hundreds of millions of people needing answers to questions such as “How Do I Get My Dog To Sit?”
 

 
So it's really no wonder that affiliate marketing is a multi-BILLION dollar business in the US alone, and a multi-multi-billion dollar business worldwide.
 

In the next few posts, I'll be teaching you the ropes of affiliate marketing.

I figure there's a zillion courses out there and some of them are actually really good.

But friends I've made and people who read my blog and know I'm just a normal dude will look and then maybe think: “If Vic can do it, I can too!”

Thailand or Bust
 

 
A couple months back I decided that, come September of 2011, I'm moving to Thailand. Like, to live.

Why in the heck?

Because:
 
1. It's warm, San Francisco is not, and I'm petite

2. $1000 USD per month is plenty to live on in Thailand

3. I have wanderlust like whoa

 
Don't get me wrong, I love San Francisco lots.

I'm especially grateful to be able to go to 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu and train with the amazing, generous Denny Prokopos and all my wonderful friends there.
 

 
And peacing out to Thailand will leave a big hole in my heart that only choking and being choked can fill.

But I guess kicking and being kicked in a Muay Thai gym will have to do!

 
Making this move happen is a goal that burns through me all day, every day and I WILL make it happen, I don't care how hard I have to work. And for sure, it's hard work. It's a real world job…just not a real job!

That's the beauty of earning your bread online; you're not bound by location and you can live wherever you want!
