How to Get CloudFlare Access

Cloudflare let you give others access to your account with specific permission levels, making it easier to manage your website with a team, freelancers or partners. This feature is perfect for sharing responsibilities without giving away your main account credentials. In this article, we will show you the steps on how to grant delegated access to your Cloudflare account.

Why Grant Access?

Granting delegated access lets you share management tasks for your website, such as handling security settings, managing DNS, or monitoring performance, without worrying about your account's security. By assigning specific roles, you control what each person can do, ensuring that everyone has access only to the features they need.

Steps to Share Access on Cloudflare

Log Into Your Cloudflare Account

First, you need to log into your Cloudflare account.

  1. Go to cloudflare.com.
  2. Enter your email and password, then click “Log In.”

Go to the Members Section

Once you’re logged in:

  1. On the left-hand side of your dashboard, find and click on “Members” under “Account Home.”

Invite Someone to Access Your Account

Now, you’re ready to invite someone:

  1. Click the “Invite Members” button.
  2. Enter the person’s email address.
  3. Choose what they can do:
    • Super Administrator – All Privileges: Can do everything, including billing and security.
    • DNS: Can only manage DNS settings.
    • API Gateway: Grants full access to API Gateway.
    • Analytics: Can see performance data but can’t make changes.

  1. After choosing the role, click “Invite.”

The person you invited will get an email with a link to join your account.

You can see who has access and what they can do:

  1. Go back to the “Members” section.
  2. If you need to change someone’s role or remove them, just click on the options next to their name.
